Adults try to say they know how it feels for us... But how do they? They need to make their mind up saying they know what its like to be us when they was teenagers once, then they say days have change since they were teenagers. So do they know what its like to be us?
When adults think of teenagers, they automatically think or under age sex, drinking and drugs.
Even a trip to our local youth club (if we have one!) can be difficult, knowing there's a slight chance that there's a man following you. And there's always nothing for us teenagers to do, so were always finding ourselves hanging around street corners and parks, as no one wants to open local places for us teenagers because they don't want to waste money on fertilities that they think we will ruin.
So has time change when our parents were teenagers? Well the answer is yes, they didn't have to worry about half the things we have to worry about, when our parents were teenagers they could leave the back door open all night not having to think about being burgled, or walking down the street not having to think about someone following you.
So these adults seem to think that if they opened these youth clubs for us we will be rude and disruptive, but if we was given a chance we would prove them wrong. Surely with the right equipment e.g. computer games, outside games, trips, communicating with other teenagers and group quizzes then teenagers can enjoy youth clubs and won't be hanging around them street corners doing what adults think is wrong.
I know we should give adults a fair share; after all it must be hard raising money to go to youth clubs for our entertainment. But with fun raisers I reckon it could work and it could get most teenagers of the streets and socializing with others, playing games, making new friends and going on fun educated trips.
