Volunteer Project

For my volunteer community project, I volunteered at the C.C. Wells Elementary Spring Carnival. I was there to help out in any way I could.

Mainly, I took down some of the tables that were set up for games, ticket sales, and concessions. I also collected all of the chairs that were used at those various stations. Some of the games and activities were difficult to dismantle simply because there were heavy or quite large.

The moon-bounce and dunking booth were two, very tough stations to clean up. Overall, there was a lot of work to be done but it passed pretty easily.

I had a lot of fun with this community volunteer project. I helped a lot of people who may have had trouble or spent a longer amount of time out there without me. I contacted the carnival coordinator to set up the job. I worked with her and her assistant to get my assignments. They were very grateful for my help.

The entire carnival is run by volunteers. It was a great project idea. I would definitely recommend this as a mandatory project. I hope future classes will have as much fun as I did.
