Inside this web of individual people and groups, any pluck of the string can send waves throughout those intertwined. The initial vibration, likely, quickly decreases down to a slight blur, or even a static state. Towards the end of the path the initiate is long forgotten, and all that's left is the trail of changes.
The presence lives on, making days brighter, darker or even garnering a balance. A laugh, a smile, even a well placed laugh could be an initiate. A slower walk and closer look can reveal once transparent transfers of emotion. Tiny fragments of an original glee witnessed by the passing of a joyful greeting. The greeting then moves along to another and thus forth.
These trivialities may seem rather miniscule in importance of grander events. However, without the particular placement of each minor occurrence, our days have the possibility of changing drastically. Happiness is a strange commodity, appearing when least suspected and vanishing hardly without thought. If we weren't constantly entwined with one another recycling our happiness, its presence would decline greatly and less memories we'd forge.
High school is blossoming with memories of past events. Isn't this why we put up with the daily routine? Hoping somewhere along the line something will happen, something we'll remember for years. Acting out of context of the now, wishing to remain in the future's past. Creating a ghost of ourselves to live on in our wake, or distance traversed apart from others over future years. Is this not why we act in ways out of storybooks and demand others listen to our tales and pass them on?
Listen in the crowds; how many stories of outrageous behavior can you pick up? These may appear merely as entertainment, but I see them as ways of breaching the human psyche and injecting our character into the mind of others to secure our impact on society. More simply, I believe we just want wax a smirk on the face of a friend years from now, when neither one of us remembers the last time we spoke.
