You should get and read these books. For example, in language learning, do you learn more effectively when reading the language, listening to the language, speaking the language in conversation with others. If you learn more effectively in speaking the language in conversation with others, then most of the language learning should be in practice conversations.
Do you learn math better with a private tutor? Then ask to be assigned a private math tutor, or a classmate who's better at math than yourself can agree to be your tutor.

For teachers interested in teaching styles, you can also put "teaching styles" in your search engine. Like learning styles, teachers can teach better with different types of teaching styles and often combine teaching styles and learning styles to obtain the best learning environment for both students and teachers.
Of course knowing all these learning and/or teaching styles does not guarantee that you get "good grades," nevertheless you find you are learning more and learning more effectively if you know these various learning styles. Finding your most effective learning style is essential in helping you to obtain good grades.
