Students, we all know that school is going to be here soon if we like it or not. These tips will help you keep track this year and pass tests more often.
Keeping a List
A list can be very important when it comes to remembering homework and when tests are. All you have to do is take sticky notes and at the end of the class, write down the homework for that subject. When you get to your locker for passing period, stick it on the door of your locker. At the end of the day, check off or take down all the homework you have in your backpack or pocket. This will turn into a routine habit after a couple of weeks. If your teachers issue less and less homework, it's a good idea to still write down “no homework” on the note to remember to do it. Staying Awake
Staying awake is very important in school. Falling asleep could end up in a detention or worse. All you have to do is get up, eat a good, healthy breakfast, and splash some water in your face. Make sure you avoid energy drinks because you will crash half way through the day. At lunch time get a good healthy lunch. If your school serves only fatty, sugared up food, pack a healthy lunch. This way you'll stay awake and pay attention better in class. A clean locker can make the difference
One of the best things you can do for yourself in school is keeping your locker organized. By keeping it clean, you'll reduce the number of tardies you receive and you're probably more likely to have your homework turned in on time. The best locker setup to have is this: Keep all of your hardcover books on the bottom of the locker. Then buy a locker shelf from Office Max® and other office supply stores. Put this about level with your thighs. Then place note books and packages of pens on this shelf. The top compartment can be used for homework and loose papers. Homework
Once you have completed all of your homework, stack it in order from your first class to your last. After each class your homework for your next one should be waiting there for you on the top. Also remember to complete it with; your name, everything your teacher asked to fill out, all the papers for that assignment. If it's a large project, it won't be as easy as to forget, but make sure you don't. Don't Rush Yourself
The most important thing NOT to do is rush! Take things easy. When you wake up in the morning, take a quick shower and eat breakfast so you'll have more time to get ready for school. Don't run to class. Make sure you've used the bathroom if necessary and have all your stuff. But this does not mean that you should take forever from class to class. Get in class about a minute before it starts so you have time to unpack.
I hope you find these tips helpful for you. Remember, if you get stressed out, take it one step at a time. Eventually it'll work out for you
