Finnish School

Where do you get your facts? Site something if your gonna say it, otherwise don't say you "heard" something and write it out like its fact.

1st handicaped (especially mentaly, but also deaf/blind) children shouldn't go to the same school as normal children, seeying they wouldn't be albe to follow the normal courses for obvious reasons, therefor they would need special treatments and i think every1 knows that special treatments of some1, especially when weaker then you, results in bulying.

2nd 9years in a class with the same ppl :shock: i dunno about you but i always enjoyed getting to know new classmates seeying that is a very nice way to make new friends. so in my point of view they miss out on a lot of friendships.

3th dunno what is so special about the preschoolyear and additional education, i know you can do it in belgium as well so unique they aren't and if the normal schools don't offer it you can still go to a private school. dunno why you would need it though, all those extra years are just a waste of time b4 you can attend university and ultimatly start working so in the end you lose out on cash.

4th saying they don't have to pay for it, but then saying that they have high taxes to pay for it sounds a bit contradictional to me.

5th saying that not often repeating a year is a characteristic of the educational system sounds a bit strange to me, either it is way to easy and every1 just passes or you narrowed down your view point to smart ppl

i dont remember where i got the facts, was a year ago where i made that presentation...
but i think its good that all kids go to the same school, i remember that they have special eqiupment for handicaped kids!!!

it is true!!! 9 years sounds a lot... but you can also find friends in other classes/grades... there r still a lot of possibilieties to make friend...

you dont have to do it, it is voluntary... i know in germany it is different, preschool is very rare, and expensive... and we dont have an additional year...

theres a different... because evryone has to pay taxes... not only the families with kids... so it is better to have children...

no i meant that evry1 just learns enough to pass the grade...

Jea im finnish and im on a school like that. i can proof its like that. You have to learn much but its very effective how you can see at the pisa test
