Most spelling practice is very boring. Make practicing words at home fun by using a variety of mediums, games and getting out of the "sitting at the desk" mode. These ideas will get your child motivated to practice spelling.
- Use chalkboards or write and wipe boards for a change of pace. It also saves paper.

- Make up a fun song to teach the spelling of a word

- Kids will really “dig” writing words in sand with sticks
- Artists will enjoy painting words on big paper hung on an easel or wall
