I know that as young girls we grow up believing that some prince will come along and sweep us off our feet and into a beautiful white carriage. Guys dream of being fire fighters and police officers, at least they did when I went to elementary school. Sorry to be the one to tell you the truth but thats not true even though I hate to be the one to tell you that. Some of the kids in elementary school start getting girlfriends and boyfriends at least they did when I was their age. However I think that was mainly due to the fact that I had a lack of attention. Now as you get older you're allowed a little freedom with that freedom you're allowed to date by this time some of you are ten and have had your first boyfriend or girlfriend. So now lets get down to the pep talk.
For those of you who have not had the "mother, daughter, son, father sit down talk about boys and girl talk" lets start there. To start with, girls be aware that all guys can be jerks, guys all girls can be moody. The best thing to do when your boyfriend is being a jerk or if your girlfriend is being moody is to leave them alone. In doing this you're giving them space to calm down.Before you date you should "lay down the law" and tell the person you're dating what they can and can't expect from you also don't forget that you should always carry pepper spray on all your dates no matter if you know the person or not. On the first date you shouldn't be paying attention to each others face but instead to each others character. I know that guys and girls often date each other because he or she is "sexy" and/or "hot" but don't just judge whats on the surface of each others faces but also judge whats underneath the surface of the person your dating.
Boys, sometimes the meanest girl could be the hottest girl you have ever met. Girls, some guy could be the hottest guy you have ever met but he could also be the meanest guy you have ever met. So my advice to both guys and girls is watch who you date because you may end up with someone you don't want. I know as you get older your body starts feeling different things those different things are more then likely called hormones.
I would advise you both not to act on these. The results of acting on these urges could not only be devastating but also life threating or cause certain death. The "urges" I'm talking about is sex. By having sex you can contract sexually transmitted diseases (commonly called STDs) no matter how you're having sex or if your using protection there will still be a chance you can contract an STD some STDs are life threating. Girls you could end up pregnant and alone raising a child you love with no support from it's father. It is not uncommon for people to be dead beat mothers and fathers, because they don't know how to take responsibility for having a child. If the girl wants an abortion the father can take the girl to court and claim that he has rights to the child because he helped make the child. Just thought some guys may want to know that. By getting an STD or getting pregnant you can almost guarantee that your childhood is over with.
I think the above is the most important things I could tell you boys and girls, because it's all true so just remember all of the above an don't act foolish or do some thing stupid.
