Five Puzzles to Solve

Five puzzle toys to spend a lot of time and brain power on.

  1. Rubik's Cube

  2. Invented by an architect in the 80's, this cube made a comeback just recently. The goal is simple, after twisting and turning the sides of it all you have to do is to turn again the sides to get all the colors together at one side. It is available in a 2x2, 3x3, 4x4, and 5 x 5 cubes. It is easy to solve once you've memorized the method of solving it. Some even solve this puzzle in under a minute.

  3. Gerry Cube

  4. It is a 3x3 cube that actually breaks into different shapes connected together by a string. The goal for this one is to restore the cube by twisting and turning the connected pieces. For someone who is not patient enough, this game would really be frustrating. However there is a solution here too that if you have discovered, makes you able to solve this puzzle in less than a minute.

  5. Sixty-Five

  6. It is a board with 25 sliding tiles. The goal of this game is to actually form a square with all rows, columns, and diagonal rows add up to 65. The first step is quite easy, which is making the square which adds up to 65. The problem comes when you slide the tiles. Sliding the tiles actually displaces previous tiles that may have been already placed in a certain position. Until now I haven't got to solve this puzzle myself which is actually way older than me.

  7. Puzzle Rings

  8. This rings actually link together to form one ring. The goal is to form that one ring from the other linked rings. It looks easy at first but the moment you handle the rings you need to actually be able to see how this rings are linked and the moment you start linking them some just keep falling out of place.

  9. Puzzle Ball

  10. Quite similar to the puzzle ring, the puzzle ball has parts that actually form one ball. It is easy to solve but the real puzzle is actually making the last piece fit to form the ball. The moment you get to fit the last piece, chances are all the other pieces would start to fall. A lot of patience is required to solve this puzzle because if you don't have it chances are you won't be able to solve it.

There you have it, take time to find for these puzzles and train your brain and your patience in solving them,

I used to have a Rubik's Cube when I was a child but I never knew the techniques to solve them. I have not heard of some of the other puzzles written here. Interesting article!
