Saturn

Saturn is the second largest planet in the solar system and it is the most intersting planet in the solar system because it is the only planet with ring with many different layers.

What is it?

Saturn is the sixth planet from the sun; it was name after the roman god of beauty. It is the 2nd largest planet in the solar system; it is the second of the four outer planets. It is a gas giant planet has a ring. In fact Saturn has biggest ring in solar system. Saturday got its name from the planet Saturn. Just like Jupiter, Saturn is made up of hydrogen and helium. Saturn is the most fascinating planet in the solar system. The reason is because of is rings, and the another odd factor. Did you know that if you put the planet Saturn in water that it would float? The rings Act as a moon, the rings reflect the sun's rays and they are visible from the ground (if Saturn had a ground).

Why it has the rings?

The reason Saturn has a ring is still unknown but they think that it started out when two of Saturn's moons where two close to Saturn and they impacted and went around the planet. Scientists think that Saturn may lose its rings eventually they will either get sucked into Saturn or they will go out into space. So long and read my article about the planet Uranus.
