Moon's start can be traced back million years ago. There are twice as many planets in the inner solar system as they are today and all of them are on the crash course of destruction. The earth is not the same as it was before. A planet intersects the orbit of the earth. It is half the size of earth. They both are dangerously getting closer. Due to proximity, the two gravitational forces clash and result in many geographical activities on surface of the earth.
The view can be explained, but it is the most heart stopping view that anyone would have seen. Firstly, a red spot would be visible in the sky. Secondly, the red spot gets on getting larger. And finally, the red spot covers most of the sky and the two bodies collide. It throws out large amount of surface rocks in the space. Shocks can be felt on the other side of the earth also. Earthquakes and volcanic eruptions struck the earth at a time all over the place. The debris thrown out in the space escaped the gravitation of earth. But most of them were caught in the force and there became a layer of dust and rocks revolving around the earth. Because of the rotation of the earth, the layer gets clumped into a sphere which was the new born moon. At that time the moon was larger than any object in the sky. But today's moon is much smaller because the moon is moving away on an average of 1.5 inches in a year.
Moon is the cause of many things happening on earth, Tides is the most common example. But do you know that moon is responsible for the rotation of earth. A planet struck the earth rotating at very high speed. With this speed the earth was rotating in just 9 hours, and the moon is responsible for the seasons also. That planet did not strike the earth at exact 90 degree to the poles which left the earth tilted on a 23 and half degrees. Otherwise each and every part of the earth would have 12 hours of days and nights each.
Moon is related to many mysteries and also regarded as a sign of romance. But do you know that most of the patients of mental hospitals run away at the night of full moon.
