Learn a little about astronomy.

  • A is for Asteroid. An asteroid is a small, generally rocky, solid body orbiting the Sun.
  • B is for Black Hole. The Black Hole is an object whose gravitational attraction is so strong that its escape velocity equals the speed of light.
  • C is for Constellations. Constellations are groups of stars in the night sky.
  • D is for Disk. Disk, is the flat, round portion of a galaxy.
  • E is for Earth. The Earth is the third planet from the Sun.
  • F is for Frequency. Frequency is the number of times per second that a wave vibrates.
  • G is for Galaxy. A Galaxy is a massive system of stars held together by their mutual gravitational attraction.
  • H is for Horizon. A Horizon is the line that separates the sky from the ground.
  • I is for Inner Core. The innercore is the innermost part of a planet.
  • J is for Jupiter. Jupiter is the fifth planet from the Sun.
  • K is for Kepler's Laws. These are laws that describe the motion of planets around the Sun.
  • L is for Lunar Eclipse. A Lunar Eclipse happens when the Earth passes between the Sun and The Moon, and the Earth's shadow falls on the Moon.
  • M is for Moon. The Moon is a satellite of the planet Earth.
  • N is for Neptune. Neptune is the eighth planet from the Sun.
  • O is for Orbit. An orbit is the path in space followed by a celestial body.
  • P is for Pluto. Pluto is the Ninth planet from the Sun.
  • Q is for Quasar. Quasars are the most luminous and most distant objects known to astronomers.
  • R is for Red Giant. The Red Giant is a cool, luminous star whose radius is much larger than the Sun's.
  • S is for Saturn. Saturn is the sixth planet from the Sun.
  • T is for Telescope. A telescope is an instrument used for observing the Heaven's.
  • U is for Uranus. Uranus is the seventh planet from the Sun.
  • V is for Venus. Venus is the second planet from the Sun.
  • W is for White Dwarf. The White Dwarf is a dense star whose radius is approximately the same as the Earth's.
  • X is for X- Ray Binaries. A binary star system in which one of the stars, or the gas associated with a star, emits X-Rays intensely.
  • Y is for Year. A Year is the time that it takes the Earth to complete its orbit around the Sun.
  • Z is for Zodiac. Zodiac is a band running around the celestial sphere in which the planets move.
