Don't stress out on the idea that animation is not for you. With this quick and easy tutorial of Stop Motion Animation, you'll be a pro in no time.
Pictures
To begin animating, you must start at its roots. Pictures always have, and always will be, the building blocks of animation, whether being a flashy Flash animation, or something simpler, like SMA. To begin, use either a digital camera or a video camera that can take pictures (Recommended because of tripods). Now begin by taking pictures. Pictures of anything. It could be a sock, a chair, even a person. Now, move the object just enough to seem like a subtle movement across the surface, making sure not to move it to much. Now continue. A good starting animation would be, maybe, a sock moving across the floor. Now to the next step.
Importing
Now, once your done, its time to import the pictures onto your computer. You can do this by either using a card reader, or importing directly from your camera (Most cameras can do this). Then create a blank folder to store the pictures in, and your done.
Creating
Now, with the pictures imported onto your computer, its time to start animating. I use Windows Movie Maker for this step, but you may have another program that works. First, import the photos on to the program (Might take a while). Then go to tools, options, advanced, and set the picture duration to 0.125 seconds and the transition duration to 0.25 seconds. Then pull your pictures down to the timeline in he correct order, and press play. Now you can burn your video onto a disk, put it on Youtube, or just keep working on it.
