Pictures Paint a Thousand Words

Nature is a master painter.

I have always admired the many paintings and art work that I have seen others paint or draw over the many years that I've lived. It takes a keen eye and magical hand to move the paint brush or charcoal just right to get that much desired stroke of genius to come alive on paper and canvas. It takes a mind that perceives the crystal clear image of the objects it takes in and the ability to hold it in place, just long enough to capture its almost perfect essence. With each painstaking stroke the object of our desire begins to take on a form and life is breathed into the paper or canvas.

Great painters with names like Leonardo da Vinci, Vincent Van Gogh, Michelangelo Buonarroti, Pablo Picasso Claude Monet and Andy Warhol have captured the world and its modern day generation with the genius of their paintings.

They all pale in comparison to Mother Nature and her ever ongoing creations of the master pieces above as shown throughout this article.

Mother nature paints a world of great beauty; each and every time it places all things as they should be and each person that looks upon its Creation perceives something that calls out to them and sticks with them in their minds and hearts till they cross over.

The water falls below are a classic example of another of Mother Nature's great creations and no matter how many times we look at the picture, we always see something that we didn't see the time we looked before. The emerald green water and eroding limestone set the canvas and the back drop for this marvellous work of art. The trees and rocks come to life in this photo and if you clear your mind and listen, you may even hear the constant sound of falling waters and feel the gentle spray of mist as it brushes against your skin. You may feel the wind and hear the birds chirping loudly over the sound of the waterfalls as they rest upon their nest in the trees near by.

In the clear waters below you may envision the schools of salmon and trout as they hide amid the rocks beneath the foaming waters of the falls. You may see the colors of the rainbow as the sun shines down and mixes with the spray. You may see the roots of the trees as they shoot out in the direction of the water, as their foliage bends to embrace the mist. They're lending their beauty to Mother Nature's master piece.

The simple yet complex beauty of the Red Flowering Crab Apple Tree above is awe inspiring and brings to mind memories of another time and place. Each limb and leaf as well as its deep red blossoms work in perfect unison to paint yet another master piece.

Mother Nature again shows off her master piece on the south side of the lake on top of my mountain back home. I was raised here by my mother. She was a Medicine Woman and taught me well the ways of her people. Living with Mother Earth and Nature has taught me to be the person and made me the healer I am today.

There are Master pieces all around us. All one needs to do is look and see.
