Get Inspired: Four Favorite Designers

"Design can be art. Design can be aesthetics. Design is so simple, that's why it is so complicated." - Paul Rand.

Being a self-proclaimed design fanatic isn't easy. It's difficult to find what really inspires you, being that there are many artists out there with nice work. Somehow, I was able to narrow-down my favorites to share it with those like me and offer inspiration. Each artist is unique, with their own style portraying individuality and personal flare.

Myztico

website: myztico.mosaicglobe.com

Myztico's surrealist designs have a strong and apparent Aztec and other Native North American tribal influence mixed with modern punk subculture and some political undertones. It brings a new vision of spirituality and culture for those ready to look beyond the box and out of the bubble for meaning.

Marimekko

website: marimekko.fi/eng

Marimekko is a Finnish based textile and clothing design company. It is a very popular, high-end brand in its native country, and produces beautiful items. In some of the designs, the influence of Finland's heritage and culture seeps through.

Tomer Peretz

website: tomerperetz.com

Tomer Peretz is a modern artist catering to the flesh fantasies of both the art connosseiur and those less familiar with the vast world of master, muse, and the product of the two. His art can have an erotic twist or a rough edge, both types catering to high-flowing testosterone. (for my more thorough review of this artist, check out Artist Spotlight: Tomer Peretz - Sexy and Rugged Modern Art)

Kandace Wright

website:kandacewright.com

Kandace Wright's creations are rather fantastical and really are a great example of the wonders of digital editing. In addition to amazing graphics, Kandace also offers tutorials for graphic editing programs, LiveJournal layouts, and provides personal services and her store if you so desire.
