This is the finished piece of sand art by the Buddhists from Nepal and Tibet. The intricate work showed in steps, from the beginning to the end of the project.
Visit this website to see the amazing process of how these two monks' work. It took several weeks, lot of patience, sturdy hands, and delicate balance to make such an incredible piece of art.
The sand mandala symbolizes the transitory nature of things, and is a tradition for Tibetan Buddhist. Once this sand mandala built, it accompanied the ceremonies, viewed, and destroyed.
Before the sand can be lay down, the monks draw the geometric measurements that linked to the mandala. The sand then distributed using funnels, small tubes, and scrapers.
This is the almost finished piece of temporary sand mandala in Kitzbuhel city hall.

I loved both videos and found them so fascinating. I watched at the pictures merged into new ones on the last one and was amazed. I cannot think how an artist is able to create so fast. Awesome.

I use to have one such sand art video, I was hoping to see that video here or on you tube, but i can't find it. I still have the disc back home, at my parents house, maybe i should get it and upload it on you tube. Sand art amazed me back then and does even now! Lovely pictures of the Buddhist sand pictures, they are awesome.
