Elliott Landy is mostly characterized for his photography of rock and roll in the 60's. He was an official photographer at Woodstock in '69. Some of his photographs have been featured on the cover of Rolling Stone.

Earlier in his photographic career he used to photography to protest the Vietnam War. He also takes photos of his kids, and places he travels to. He has done some work with film and kaleidoscopes. Elliott has published "'Woodstock Vision, the Spirit of A Generation,'' and he has written ''Woodstock 69, The First Festival.'' He is now creating a series of lithographs of his classic rock photographs.
