Doors are the entry point of the energy for any enclosed space. It is in our interest to encourage the entry of the good and restrict the bad. The story often described as the mouth of the home and energy of the door way is often accepted as one of the primary pillars of Feng Shui.
The door controls two things. Those are the quantum of energy entry and its flow within.
The flow of energy should be smooth and harmonious. At no point should it be either blocked or rushed. Stuck and squeaking doors are bad for easy movement of energy.
A doorway is an opening with no door. It is okay in a hall, dining or even a kitchen. But bedrooms, offices and studies should have a door. Use a curtain it you can't a put up a door.
A door should always open into the space it is meant for. If it opens outside, the person who opens it would step back to open it.
The door should open into the larger space and also reveal the most important element in the room. The boss in his room, the bed in the bedroom or the stove in the kitchen should not be hidden by the opening door.
