7 Strange Houses

Who would enjoy living in houses like these? Attached are 7 of the strangest houses man has built.

Compiled here is a list of some of the most unique and strange looking houses that can be found around the world. All of these houses are or were lived in at sometime. They would be either a rather fun house to be the retailer for, or a very unpleasant experience. Nonetheless here are the oddities man-kind has designed.

  1. This is a house called falling water. It is built on top of a good sized natural waterfall. It's not located near a town, and would be a very peaceful place to live. This house was designed and built by the same architect that built the famous house on the rock in Wisconsin.
  2. This is the largest tree house on earth. Its structures spans from numerous trees in order to support its heavy weight. The materials are a little cheap looking but the house itself is very unique.
  3. This house was built on the edge of a cliff on a rock. It's a big sized house with all its weight resting on a rock! It's amazing that somebody would willing live here knowing that an earth quake or simply corrosion could send them flying down the cliff with their house. I'll bet house insurance is very hard for these homeowners to buy.
  4. This looks like a house made out of scrap wood that slowly evolved into a rather famous house. It probably would retail for a very low price as it isn't very sturdy, but the house itself is one of a kind.
  5. Amazing this house has level floors. You wouldn't think so by looking at the windows and shape of the building but it does. It looks like two houses smashed together into a glass building. It is an amazingly detailed house. This would be fun for a while, but wouldn't it get a little nauseous after a while?
  6. A shoe shaped house, what more can you say? There are two floors on one side of the house, and just one floor on the other side. Very strange looking house, but it is sure a marvel to look at.
  7. This house didn't topple over, it was built like this. I wonder what the right side of this house would be like. There is a huge upward slant, either the staircase of wasted space. I wonder how well this holds up without shingles.

You're right, they are weird and wonderful houses, but I must admit that the waterfall house does appeal to me.

This was a very interesting article. The houses do look weird though. Numbers 5-7 really look strange.

I can't say that I like the waterfall house, I'm thinking that I'd need the loo all night long with that forever sound of water.

Maybe the 'old woman' lives in number 6? I wonder where she put all her children.
