Talks about the TV show 24.
24 is an American television series, created by Joel Surnow and Robert Cochran. It recounts the adventures of a U.S. federal special agent who fights against terrorism occurring in the United States. The series is especially famous for its principle of unity of time: each season consists of twenty-four episodes and is meant to correspond to twenty-four hours in the life of main character. This series therefore takes real time and use of split-screen, which shows the actions of various characters simultaneously.
Jack Bauer is an agent of the Anti-Terrorist Unit in Los Angeles. Each season of the series, he finds himself facing a perilous mission that he must complete within 24 hours. Thus, each season covers 24 hours in the life of Bauer (a season with 24 episodes and each episode theoretically corresponding to one hour in real time).
The show 24 airs on Fox and is in its 7th season. A movie was planed but plans have been put on hold. No one is sure when or if a movie will be made. Originally the movie was planned to be between the 6th and 7th seasons of the show and to be released over the summer movie season when the show itself was on hiatus.
